INTRODUCTION

The childcare and ski school for children is included in the holiday cost enabling everyone to have a great holiday.

Every child is important to us and we will spend time getting to know what’s important to your child before departure; arrange cots, nappies if required as standard in the hotel prior to your arrival. Every child is an individual and we have devised a fun week of activities and will work together with your child to ensure they enjoy every minute of the week. If they don’t like getting messy, we are experienced enough to alter the activities so your child is happy and content in the children’s club. During ski school hours the younger ones on the nursery slopes will be accompanied by a member of the team to provide snacks or cuddles when required.

The children’s club is open daily from 8.30 and is run by childcare professionals who will care and entertain children up to the age of 12. The day will start with the skiing children departing with the childcare team for lessons whilst other activities in the hotel playroom are laid on for the non-skiing children. They will be inside and outside throughout the day, enjoying walks around the town, sledging, snowy nature hunts, ice skating and rock climbing.

Lunch in the hotel or in town is a delicious two course lunch daily, for example home made tagliatelle with homemade pesto and grilled chicken breast with a pudding of chocolate caramel cake with caramelised banana’s or as frequently requested by the small skiers ‘pizza and chips’ We are flexible within reason but we won’t let them eat rubbish all day long. Healthy snacks (and a few treats) will be provided during the day.

Ski school is organised with excellent English speaking ski instructors from Evolution2 in Val Thorens and Scuola Sci Courmayeur.

THE CHILDRENS CLUB

Little ones will be included in as many activities as they want. Fully qualified staff will be on hand to offer a home-from-home routine and, for the smaller ones, sleep times will be kept to wherever possible. Healthy morning and afternoon snacks and two-course lunches are included.

At midday, staff pick up the children and bring them back to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon activities include daily art projects and crafts, indoor treasure hunt, pirate day, sledging competition, hot chocolate at the top of the gondola, swimming and much, much more. The Chipmunk’s meals and morning ski school are included in the holiday cost

The childcare staff accompany the children to join their ski instructor and later to meet them for a light lunch at a piste-side restaurant and allow them some playtime afterwards before rejoining their instructor for more on-piste fun. The staff will then bring them back to the hotel after lessons finish at 4.30pm. Grizzly Bears is for children who can happily ski blues and reds and want to be with friends of their own age. The bear’s meals, lunchtime supervision and all-day ski school are included in the holiday cost.
Having listened to guests (and watched them flop) on two afternoons the Grizzly Bear’s will not ski with the instructor – meaning families can either ski together or the group can visit the sport’s centre for rock climbing, soft play, swimming, ping pong and refresh their legs.
